Just a quick tip for those of you who are iPhone users. If you remember when we posted about xGPS, well the latest version 1.2, is now available for download through Cydia (which means you must have your iPod Touch or iPhone jailbroken first). In addition to a number of great new features, xGPS 1.2 will also offer turn by turn voice instructions, though the voice sounds very robotic and much like Prof. Hawking’s talking wheelchair, it seems to do its job quite well. Xwaves is about to release the latest version of xGPS (v1.2) by the end of this month. For those that are not familiar, xGPS is an iPhone / iPod Touch application which will turn your iPhone into a GPS sat nav device, the best part is xGPS enables your iPhone to have turn by turn voice instructions. The previous version xGPS (v1.1.0-1) which is already available via Cydia and provides real-time GPS navigation, but it does not have voice instructions so this soon to come update version 1.2 will definitely be much more useful.
