When we were first sent the new Sony ICF-CL75iP, the first impression was great, now we can compare it to the ICF-C8WM which we reviewed earlier, a few months ago. But if you read on, you’ll find that during the process of reviewing the ICF-CL75iP, we became increasingly aware that they’re in fact, not comparable. Even if you take away the obvious, that is that both devices support different music players.
We’ve been sent one of Sony’s newest clock radios, the ICF-CL75iP. You will be aware we just only recently reviewed one of Sony’s clock radios, the ICF-C8WM. You can consider the ICF-CL75iP as a step up from the former as it boasts support for USB drives, iPods and iPhones and memory cards. Its also got a massive seven inch WVGA colour LCD. We’ll be reviewing it shortly, but for now check out some pictures we took of its unboxing.
For the GC900 to bare the “Viewty” badge, it needs to live up and improve on the expectations which have been inherited from its highly reputable predecessor, the original Viewty. In this part of our Viewty Smart review, we’ve focused on testing the GC900’s multimedia features and these include music play, video play, camera and also video recording.
While no official date is yet available for those in the States, it looks like the 9th of July will be the date in which the Snapdragon chipset powered Toshiba TG01 will soon be officially unveiled here in the UK. It’s slim, powerful and runs on 256MB of RAM, the TG01 was first revealed to the world at this year’s MWC.
With a 4.1-inch WVGA (800 x 480) touchscreen display, the TG01 packs the quality specs of a potential iPhone killer; WiFi, GPS, 3.2-megapixel camera and 3G data connectivity all within its only 10mm-thick body.
Some of the specs of the next Samsung Omnia, Omnia II have leaked. Its said that the upcoming touchscreen flagship will be called the GT-I8000. The Omnia 2 was leaked by a Lithuanian on-line retailer, which has now removed its embarrassing leakage.
Unconfirmed specs revealed so far includes a 3.7-inch WVGA TFT resistive touchscreen display, 8.1 megapixel camera with dual LED flash and VGA@30fps video recording, 150 MB internal memory, a Qualcomm processor and a microSD card slot. The connectivity includes all you may need as usual including 3G support, Bluetooth, miniUSB, GPS and Wi-Fi.
Rumors speculate that the Windows Mobile OS on board will be heavily customized and will bear the Samsung’s TouchWiz styling with deep menu restyling. DivX/XViD support is also expected.

Only have a short while since we last posted the LG Viewty Smart GC900‘s video, LG have now announced its availability in the UK.
Just to recap for those who may not have heard about the Viewty Smart. It can be considered as the second generation of the original highly successful LG Viewty, five megapixel camera phone. Like the Viewty, Viewty Smart focuses heavily on mobile photography, boasting a three inch WVGA display and equipped with an eight megapixel camera with LED flash.
