We briefly touched on Sony’s latest developments in the ultra compact DSLR field back in February and it was then that we learnt the direction in which Sony would soon be expanding their Alpha series DSLRs. Officially announced yesterday were the NEX-5 and NEX-3, both of which will be new additions to Sony’s DSLR lineup, available from this summer.
Not only do the two cameras not compromise the ability to have interchangeable lens, they are both compact and much lighter in weight than conventional bulky DSLRs, both NEX-3 and NEX-5 boast a new Exmor APS HD CMOS sensor with a resolution of 14.2 effective megapixels. If you fancy HD video recording like myself, you would probably be more interested in the bigger brother of the two, the NEX-5.
It looks like all the leaked news and rumors of names like iSlate, iTablet all had us fooled. Its now officially been unveiled at the “Latest Creation” Apple event, Apple’s latest tablet computer will be called the iPad. Before unveiling the new mobile device, Steve Jobs stressed that they were not hiding some sort of netbook. In fact, he mentioned that netbooks were simply just “cheap laptops”. Instead, the Apple CEO presented the press a device which he felt sat comfortably between and iPhone on one end and MacBook on the other.
Well folks, new rumors are now being spoken about the possibility of a new upcoming fourth generation iPhone. This news originates from the South Korean local iPhone carrier KT Telecom. It is believed that the rumored new iPhone could reach the Korean company for trial purposes as soon as the coming April and would officially be available near June.
Check it out! The folks at Engadget have received their Google Nexus One, which we all now know for certain that its date of release will be on the 5th next week. The first hands on video by Engadget below demonstrates some very neat features which the Nexus One will have, much of which largely made possible by Android. Its got that new live touchable wallpaper feature, new widgets, a new shortcut for lazy people that allows them to jump to a specific screen. And as you will see through the entire video, the Nexus One’s leaked specs haven’t disappointed us, it is a pretty fast phone, as evidenced by the demonstration of Google Maps. Continue reading »
