We only spoke about this a few days ago, but the jailbreaking tool known as Spirit is now available for all users running Mac OS X or Windows. It is essentially a jailbreaking tool which will provide you access to Cydia and not an unlocking tool. Users will be able to use Spirit for jailbreaking the iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch running OS firmware version 3.1.2, 3.1.3 or 3.2.

With the launch of Apple’s iPad 3G this week, most users will have been having one thing on their mind, is it jailbreakable / unlockable? As Geohot demonstrated shortly after iPad WiFi launched, it is indeed jailbreakable, it is just a matter of time when either Geohot or the iPhone Dev Team releases their magic to the public. In the video below, MuscleNerd from the iPhone Dev used the “Spirit” jailbreak, a software that promises untethered unlocking of Apple’s recent devices, therefore its not just the iPad concerned but also iPhone 3GS and iPod Touch 3G. The Dev Team has promised to release Spirit to the public soon.
I am serious! I was lost in this software for almost an hour and didn’t even had to open Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox (or Internet Explorer for those who still use IE). The advantage being, I was surfing the internet like I regularly do and was downloading videos (plus converting them to the most comfortable format any one of us can dream of) simultaneously. All this was happening in just one single piece of software and this made my life look extremely simple. I was in heaven, literally!

An alpha version of SPB software Mobile Shell 3.5 was reportedly leaked this week as reported by the Daily Mobile. Some widgets from the leaked version are still not functional. Nevertheless, it was an opportunity for some to check out what the software can offer to the users. Reportedly, Mobile Shell 3.5 has more integrated tools, and the new and improved personal customization and phone interaction are the newest features to watch out for.
So what’s inside? While the previous version can only be used with Windows Mobile, the new version of the SPB Mobile Shell can now be used with Android, Symbian and Windows Mobile phones, a major upgrade in mobile platform implementation. For Symbian, it only supports the Symbian 60 version 5.
The version promises support for 3D technology with its new 3D engine. This means that users can have easy access to the latest 3D widgets and applications such as 3D media player, 3D email, 3D weather and more. It also has an improved social networking integration environment where users can easily sync with popular services such as Twitter, Facebook or Friendster.

Sikuli is a new app that makes automating as simple as taking screenshots, if you watch the video below, you’ll truly know how oldschool macros now are.
