When we were first sent the new Sony ICF-CL75iP, the first impression was great, now we can compare it to the ICF-C8WM which we reviewed earlier, a few months ago. But if you read on, you’ll find that during the process of reviewing the ICF-CL75iP, we became increasingly aware that they’re in fact, not comparable. Even if you take away the obvious, that is that both devices support different music players.
Having achieved the world’s smallest PC title with the first generation Fit-PC, CompuLab have been making good progress with its second gen Fit-PC2. This time, the Fit-PC2 has been boasted with Intel’s Atom processor, making it another Acer Aspire Revo competitor. As you can imagine, the latest Fit-PC2 carries on with its predeccesor’s tiny build. Equipped with Atom Z530 1.6GHz or Z510 1.1GHz processor and Intel’s US15W SCH chipset as well as GMA500 integrated graphics.
The Fit-PC2 has 1GB of RAM, a 2.5-inch SATA hard drive bay and a miniSD card slot. Also included is a HDMI HD output port. Connectivity wise, the Fit-PC2 isn’t bad at all. In addition to ethernet LAN, there is also built-in WiFi 802.11g which is exactly what we all like in a proper nettop. Due to be released later this year, Toshiba’s SV series super skinny tv’s are what they claim to be “the most advanced Toshiba LCD TV model ever to launch” in the UK. Why? Because technology wise, these tellies sport Active Vision M200HD picture processing and an RGB LED backlight. Available in 46 and 55 inches, each model also gets a digital tuner, Toshiba’s MetaBrain engine which gives you Dolby Volume that promises even sound, DLNA technology, a game mode and four HDMI InstaPort ports.
The new SV series is also capable of playing mp3 and DivX videos via usb (with the DivX content upscaled too) and gets an SD card slot for viewing jpegs, what can’t this badboy do? Suggested to be released by August this year, these tellies will definitely be on the high end in terms of pricing, that might not be so good for this time of the year!
