We love robots, here on GadgetLite, we’ve featured all sorts of robots before. Modular robots, vacuuming robots, artistic robots and even lazy looking robots that walk like ourselves… but nothing ever like what we’re about to show you in the video below…

The robots below may be considered by some as a break through in terms of science / robotics, while some will just think they are junk and know nothing about ‘mating’ apart from the fact that they are programmed calculations telling them it is what they should do. I may have exaggerated just a bit there by saying that they live to mate, but from the video it really is what they aim to do!

Paul Granjon’s sexed robots are autonomous wheeled platforms fitted with nylon genital organs, respectively male and female.

They are programmed to explore their environment, occasionally entering a “in heat” mode, where they will try and locate a partner in the same state. If a partner is located, the robots will attempt to mate.

Here’s the video, feel free to leave your comments…

Have a look at this PC keyboard – the Keyboard Organiser, as you can tell it is no rocket science nor is this keyboard equipped with any special technology but what it does have to offer is something no one ever thought should be done – an open up keyboard!!?? Yes, you would think that something so convenient, useful and simple to design and produce would have existed for years and years by now, but no!

Exactly the same size as a standard keyboard, The Keyboard Organiser is a unique keyboard that opens like a clam shell to enable users to store their everyday desktop items such as pens, CD’s, markers, paper clips, stamps and more.

This is the worlds first and only patented fully functional computer keyboard that makes use of all the empty space. What a smashing idea !! The Keyboard Organiser has won many innovation awards and we can easily see why.

The Keyboard itself is no thicker than a standard keyboard, it has 18 multi-media hotkeys, PS/2 connection and is fully compatible with Windows 98/ME/2000/XP.

?NoPoPo?

NoPoPo (Japanese made) – the name sounds horrible doesn’t it? The concept of how it works may also put you off too! Basically these batteries are quite good at what they do in providing the power for whatever it is that needs it.They come in AAA or AA size, it’s been claimed that a single AA NoPoPo battery can provide a flashlight with up to 20 hours of battery life, which isn’t bad at all considering that you only have to perform a very simple task to recharge these! Plus you can easily recharge them again when they run out…The rather awkward bit is how you charge it… you actually pee in it… The batteries come with a plastic eye-dropper like pipette that allows the user to inject urine into the battery chamber and that is probably why it’s not called NoPeePee, but ask no further!

Check out this very handy device, this is not just any microscope, this is a USB one and one with some good neat specs too!

According to Novatech:

Ideal for a wide variety of practical applications in the classroom, workplace and even the home. Can be used for science and engineering work and study, dermatology (skin/scalp) exam, detailed repair, assembly and quality control (ie. electronics, mechanical, etc), hobbies & collecting (coin, stamp, watch, jewelry, etc.), law enforcement (counterfeit ID, crime lab, etc) , entertainment or simply as a reading aid. Just use your imagination!

Included with each Dino-Lite digital microscope is a copy of the “DinoCapture” software, enabling you to “capture” either a photograph, video or time-lapsed video with a simple click.

Just check out the pics below and see how well the microscope works:

You wouldn’t believe this until you saw the pictures, over at TerraWind they call this the world’s first luxury amphibious motorcoach / yacht. TerraWind have designed this vehicle based on the best features of world class yachts and luxury motorcoaches, length of 42’6″ and 8 feet 6 inches wide, the Terra Wind RV is designed around a marine grade fiberglass hull of plywood reinforced fiberglass and marine grade structural members. As you will see in the pictures, there’s also a retractible deck for lounging, fishing, swimming and diving!

It also seems that it’s no rocket science to make the transition from highway to water, you simply place the auto transmission into neutral and shift the marine transmission into gear. And suddenly, you have a houseboat. Top speed is 85 miles an hour on land and up to 7 knots on the water, which isn’t too bad at all for a vehicle that size!

I’d say this new keyboard design is probably the wackiest one I’ve seen, as you will see in the video, Safetype is ideal for those who suffer from arthritis of the hand, Carpal Tunnel Syndrome and other joint problems relating to the hand. However, to be able to use this new ergonomic keyboard, you would need to be a pretty good typer because you won’t actually be able to see the keys as you type!

Here are some pictures taken from Safetype:

Tokyo 2007 Previews the Honda CR-Z Concept…

On October 13, 2007, in Auto Tech, Latest News, by Admin Staff

Honda CR-Z Concept

CR-Z, which Honda insists it stands for “Compact Renaissance Zero” certainly has some of the most dynamic and outstanding exterior designs Honda has been able to come up with in the recent years.

Honda CR-Z Concept

With a balance of entertaining driving dynamics and a hybrid power train that fuses lightweight chuckability with a clear environmental conscience (like the Honda Civic Hybrid?), it’s no wonder why this car will be one to keep an eye on for in the next few weeks to come!
