The Blackberry Storm is RIM’s latest addition in their 3G smartphone line. As you may know it was officially announced on Wednesday in the US by Vodafone and Verizon Wireless which have joined forces for what they believe is going to be an iconic change in the world of smartphones, as well as for Blackberry.
The change? The change has certainly been one which we have already witnessed with the new Blackberry Bold. As for this new and latest addition, the Blackberry Storm indeed gives a very clear indication that RIM intends to stick to their new creative plans and try to produce what could be a new and revolutionised standard which would remain as competitive as ever for many years to come.
The latest Storm you will know has a full clickable 3.26-inch (480 x 360) touchscreen which makes it yet another competitor (after the recently unveiled Nokia 5300 XpressMusic) for the currently “sat high in the throne” Apple iPhone. Other features include a built-in accelerometer, 3.2-megapixel camera, built-in GPS, 1GB onboard storage with microSD/SDHD memory card slot and not to say the least, the Storm will be preloaded with lots of apps (scroll down and see)!
I suppose these latest in geeky fashion don’t necessary have to be for girls, you can wear them as well if you’re a man if you’re used to wearing earrings! Though these will cost you as much as $19 USD a pair, BlackBerry fans will love to get their hands on a pair of these. Just one thing though (my advice), if you’re wearing these, try not to put your BlackBerry phone next to your ear at the same time, that would not look so fashsionable, just extremely geeky…
Ever thought BlackBerry would produce a clamshell phone like this? To most, the name BlackBerry have almost been imprinted in everyone’s mind as a bulky looking (those not familiar with its ‘range’ of bulky designs, may I suggest you click here…), style-limited mobile phone that businessmen and workaholics use so that they can keep in touch with their work on the go and during out of office hours. But now, BlackBerry has decided to twist your imagination abit so that you may think of them from now on as a brand that also offers phones that provide work functionality and style!
