Anyone who has a Playbook from RIM the same creators as BlackBerry, may have wanted OS 2.0 which was said to be released soon but that won’t be happening for a few more months. The Vice President David Smith for the Playbook said that the new OS will be delayed until February of 2012.

Research in Motion “RIM” is offering Blackberry users free premium applications from the Blackberry App World after a couple days of service interruptions. Many Blackberry users were unable to receive or send emails or contact people using Blackberry Messenger for a couple days. RIM held press conferences addressing the matter of downtime and is now offering some compensation by allowing free download of premium applications and games.

RIM launches BBM Music

RIM is finally is launching BBM (BlackBerry Messenger) Music (beta) after much rumors. It is a new social music service from RIM that lets users create a musical profile of 50 songs that can be streamed or downloaded to their Blackberry device. It is however inspired by iTunes. Its users can invite their Messenger friends to share their favourite tunes with them.
