I really enjoy it when new inventions take advantage of natural power sources such as solar power! The new FreeLoader 8.0 Portable Solar Charger by Solar Technology (UK) is a smart looking, versatile device that charges a multitude of the latest mobile gadgets for free using Solar Energy. The FreeLoader 8.0 not only charges the latest two most popular gadgets from Apple but also charges devices such as digital cameras, iPods, PDAs, PSPs and mobile phones.
What is brilliant about the FreeLoader 8.0 is that to ensure batteries never run flat, the Freeloader 8.0 has an extra function which allows it to simultaneously charge its own internal battery which holds its charge for up to three months. As seen in the picture below, it features extra sensitive solar panels which are make it especially efficient at absorbing light in cloudy and dim conditions that the UK in particular is prone to

The Atlas Kinetic Cell Phone is not about how advanced your phone is, what fancy functions it’s got or how good the camera is, it’s about making technologies greener for our environment. Like watches which uses a dial to power oscillating weight to power the mainspring in order to work, the Atlas Kinetic Cell Phone uses a very similar concept.

Just over the weekend, Sony Ericsson announced their latest clamshell mobile, the Z770, the main feature being a HSDPA mobile phone with web capability allowing users to stay up-to-date with feeds and favourite websites, as well as email.

This torch isn’t just any ordinary houehold torch, this is ‘The Torch’, it costs $300! I would be reluctant to shine this on anyone because it is so powerful that it can melt plastic and set paper on fire in just a matter of seconds! Definitely not for kids!

As you may be aware, the latest 1.1.3 jailbreak for both the iPhone and the iPod Touch on Windows and Mac have raised awareness that it was released by ‘Nate True’ and not the iPhone dev team. Many feel concerned that there may be a possibility that both these methods may prevent the future installation of official third party applications (with good reason, read on below) which will be created by the soon to come Apple SDK, software development kit… this makes Nate’s jailbreaks not so good, I’m sorry to say.
However, now that the official 1.1.3 jailbreak from dev team have been released, I strongly recommend you take the necessary steps in switching over to this jailbreak. A few reasons, one mainly being the jailbreak method released by ‘Nate True’ is tantamount to software piracy or copyright infringement and I strongly suggest this should be avoided. Secondly, if you choose to use this official iPhone dev team 1.1.3 jailbreak, there will be much more support in case anything goes wrong in the near future. Plus, dev team is already ‘secretly’ working on a future update which has been said to NOT cause ‘Nikita’ to breakdown. Nikita is the crucial component on the iPhone / iPod Touch responsible for installing signed official software, such as the iPod App Pack and SDK applications in the near future. And it is this component which ‘Nate True’s jailbreak has disrupted.
