While its second ‘attraction’ will no doubt be the fact that its runs on Android, a relatively cheaper alternative to Apple’s iOS if having apps is what you’re after.
There is no doubt the so-called ‘mp3 player’ / digital audio player market has been over saturated with so many choices and alternatives over the years. While iPods may have become the ‘gold standard’ due to Apple’s raise to fame rather than true performance and reliability. Other brands have had to struggle their way into consumers’ peripheral vision, one way many have been able to do this is by significantly cutting their devices’ price and offer even more features.

Last week’s news but never too late. Sony adds to its growing Walkman family of PMPs, Sony have launched the new 7.2mm-slim bodied S750. While this new Walkman doesn’t boast OLED display or a touch screen, it does still churn out a good 50-hour long battery life for music playback and 10 hours for video playback. What’s more is that it also boasts noise cancelling functionality, a feature which we’ve loved in our previous reviews of Sony’s Walkmans (A845 and X1050).
During the years we’ve seen all sorts of devices from Philips but it seems the company have decided to shift its focus more towards multimedia devices nowadays. This latest portable media player that comes from Philips is called Philips GoGear Connect and it will be using Google’s Android OS as its primary platform.
