We were delighted to be invited to the UK launch of the Acer Iconia A1 Android tablet yesterday in London. It was great to see the new, sleek 7.9″ tablet demoed by Lucy Yang, Acer Product Manager from Switzerland. The below are photos taken from the event as well as the official press release. We’re told the Iconia A1 has already attracted plenty of interest from top retailers and hopefully we’ll be seeing it hit the shelves by the end of this month.

Until now, the smartphone market has been lacking in a true high tech wrist watch or ‘smart watch’ that perfectly pairs and shares the capabilities of our smartphones.
