This is an update regarding Samsung’s latest handset set to soon launch in the UK, the F210. It is now official that the F210 will arrive the UK by 12 October (which is this friday!).

However if you can’t wait and want to reserve your bid for it, it is possible to order it now via Vodafone, there are no extra charges for pre-ordering and delivery is free, the tariff to come with your pre-order will be a 12-month contract, costing ?40 a month with 500 minutes and 500 texts.
It’s finally official, the two most recently announced Nokia handsets, the latest version of N95: the N95 8Gb and the N81 will be arriving the UK by mid-November. This news appeared on Phones 4U‘s site today, so it seems that about a month after the launch of SE K850i and W910i (12 October), Nokia will be launching their own very competitive latest N95 8Gb and N81.
The N95 8Gb which has attracted alot of attention recently will only be available in black as pictured on the right, obviously this seems very much like an action by Nokia to counteract their biggest rival’s recent product launch as soon as possible, how will the Sony Ericsson K850i and the Nokia N95 8Gb compare in terms of quality and user uptake? And will the N81 revive Nokia’s gaming dreams? We’ll just have to wait and see
Just two days ago, we mentioned about CarphoneWarehouse’s update to providing pre-orders for the SE K850i (only on O2 though). Well today, another one of the UK’s largest independent mobile phone retailer, Phones 4U has announced on their website that both the K850i and W910i will be available to take home from over 400 of their local high street shops as of October 12. Like the CarphonesWarehouse, they are now also offering the option to pre-order for both of these phones.
As you can see in the image to the left, the tariff for K850i offered by Phones 4U has been serviced by Vodafone which differs from that provided by the CarphoneWarehouse (O2). Read on for more on the pricing of these phones currently offered by Phones 4U…
Its been sometime since Sony Ericsson’s 5-megapixel camera phone king, the K850i had been announced. Earlier in June, we also wrote a post about the K850i along with some attached videos. Well finally, just last week, we in the UK saw some signs of the K850i’s soon to come arrival off Phones4u’s webpage. However, Phones4u has been reluctant to confirm its launch date in the UK.

On the other hand, another one of the UK’s largest mobile network retailer, the Carphone Warehouse has provided within its description that the Sony Ericsson K850i will be expected to launch by October this year:

Though there is beginning to be more information popping up regarding its launch, both sources have not yet mentioned anything regarding how much the tariffs will cost and which network they will be available to. And what’s more, what will the prices be for pay as you go? (For those not familiar with what that means, it is basically buying the handset from a retailer on the high street without subjecting yourself to a long term contract :] )If you’d like more info on the upcoming Sony Ericsson K850i’s specs and also to see a demo video, click here to visit one of our previous posts.
Back in June, when we wrote a post about a few of Sony Ericsson’s latest upcoming phones, I recently found out we had entirely forgotten to write about the Sony Ericsson W910i!
You may consider the W910i to be a rather “lite” version of the upcoming W960i, however the W960i’s UK launch date is still uncertain. As for the W910i, it is expected to arrive soon, so I hope this quick post isn’t too late.

So what does the W910i offer?
For a start, the W910i will be a brilliant handy, thin slider, only 12.5mm thick (compared to K850i 17mm thick, Nokia N95 21mm, Samsung G600 and E950 14.9mm thick) and will come in “Hearty Red” and “Noble Black” have a look at some of its major specs listed below:
- GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900
- 3G, EDGE, GPRS, HSDPA (3.6Mbps), A2DP
- 86g in weight
- TFT, 256K colors
- 240 x 320 pixels, 2.4-inch screen
- Memory Stick Micro (M2) card slot
- 40MB internal memory
- Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP
- USB 2.0
- 2 MP camera
- Standby time: up to 400 hours
- Talk time: up to 9 hours
- Other features:
- RSS reader
- Walkman player 3.0
- TrackID music recognition
The W910i will not have a touch screen like some might have expected. However improvements to the walkman series phones such as higher camera resolution and better quality videos plus the ability to play windows media files and real player files will certainly make it a stronger competitor amongst the current new line of multimedia phones.
