We talked about the free one year trial release of Windows 7 (RC) available for download for all users from Microsoft on Monday. We’d just like to update everyone who have been interested that the RC is now up and accessible by everyone. While we (as well as everyone else) thought that Microsoft would allow the Windows 7 RC to run on users’ PCs after installation until the 1st of June, 2010, we’ve now learnt more about how this will work.

Essentially this downloadable free Windows 7 RC will be a ticking time bomb! Beginning on March 1, 2010, the operating system will begin an annoying ritual of shutting down every two hours! If you’re using one of the beta versions of Windows 7, the hourly shutdown game starts much sooner, on July 1, 2009!

For those who are not disturbed by this and don’t mind trying it out, the download link is below…

This is not at all surprising to hear, since developers these days are so willing to share the latest build of operating systems as soon as they get it. This latest leak shows that the recent new Snow Leopard build (10A335) sports a handy screen grab feature, this new native ability links in with QuickTime to “record” your on-screen activities. I suppose it then convenient makes a video and saves it on your desktop just like the current screenshot capture function that our Mac OS Xs’ have. Again, this in my view is another thoughtful function that Microsoft will never think of.

Just to give a heads up to those of you who are iPod Touch 2G (the second generation iPod Touch) users. The iPhone Dev Team have been working hard lately to release a new, latest version of their redsn0w tool for jailbreaking iPod Touch. Though you must still be warned that redsn0w is still in beta and problems and bugs still exist, so its not absolutely perfect but it does offer a chance for iPod Touch 2G users to come onboard and join the jailbreak crew.

Having stumbled upon a digital photo converter recently, I felt it was quite confusing to choose which one would suit me the most. Obviously having one was useful because it would be the best solution for me to sort out all the old photos I have got in my house. If you don’t know too much about them, digital photo converters are also known as a photo to digital converter. Majority have got specs including at least a 5MP sensor and 1800 dpi resolution. The converter basically takes a digital photo of the regular photo that you slide down the tray. Then, simply connect the digital photo converter to the computer USB port, it will begin scanning and uploading pictures.

On February 25, 2009, in Cell Phones, Technology, by Admin Staff

The Samsung i8910 Omnia HD which was revealed at the recent MWC 2009 in Barcelona is an improved version of the original Omnia smartphone. Its got a huge 3.7-inch AMOLED display, plays HD videos and should prove to be a strong competitor against other full touchscreen cameraphones in the upcoming months. As you can see there is no physical keypad and full touchscreen control interface totally proves its value on such a large display. It has a 8 megapixel camera with flash and powerful stereo speakers. It runs the latest Symbian S60v5 operating system.
