Google announces Google Wallet mobile payment

Google Wallet is an NFC-based mobile payment service, and Google has officially announced it. So far, Google Wallet has gained support of many retailers such as Subway, Macy’s, Walgreens, Toys ‘R Us, First Data, Citibank, MasterCard, and Sprint. Speaking of MasterCard, this partnership with Google means that Google Wallet will be fully compatible with PayPass payment system.

During Microsoft’s MIX conference in Las Vegas, Windows Phone director Joe Belfiore took the stage to demonstrate how well Microsoft’s new Internet Explorer 9 mobile browser can render HTML5 websites.

He fired up a device running Microsoft’s new Windows Phone “Mango” update with IE9 installed and then started an HTML5 speed test benchmarking the Mango device against the iPhone 4 and the Google Nexus S.

Google’s flagship smartphone – the Google Nexus S has been making rounds around the internet and recently it was caught at D: Dive Into Mobile conference where it reflected its complete Google experience.

The smartphone will come loaded with Android 2.3 i.e. Gingerbread, a very subtle User Interface and some amazingly powerful features like the very strong sounding near-field communication compatibility (hardware permitting — and this hardware does indeed permit).
