Here’s another round up of a few phones that we are expecting to arrive the UK by December (probably before Christmas) this year…

November

Nokia E51

This phone may not seem the most attractive for many, however it does have features like WLAN, bluetooth, mp3 player and it’s 3G…

Nokia 7900

The Prism 7900 is also a 3G phone, it’s got basic features like bluetooth and a standard 2 megapixel camera…

Samsung G800

This is the newest version of Samsung G600 if you like, it looks quite similar as well. In terms of specifications, it basically has the same features like 5 megapixel camera, bluetooth, mp3 and radio, still no 3G or WiFi though!

The Samsung G800 mobile phone isn’t just a 5 megapixel camera phone… although that’s an excellent place to begin. It also has a 3x optical zoom, offering close-up images with no need for you to move. There’s a Xenon flash for night-time photos, along with panorama shots, multi shots and macro shots. In addition, the G800 is equipped with cutting-edge camera features including face detection and Wide Dynamic Range. And when you’ve finished with photos, you can start with videos. The Samsung G800 is even equipped with video editing features, making it easy for you to create your own films.

Plus there’s fast HSDPA mobile internet access, mobile blogging and a well-featured MP3 player in this slim slide-open handset. With its camera-like looks and its intuitive menu system, the G800 will definitely change the way you think about photography.

Pricing update for Nokia N95 Black…

On November 4, 2007, in Cell Phones, Latest News, by Admin Staff

Just like we mentioned in the post we published last week when the Nokia N95 Black had just launched, the line rental for the phone via Vodafone from Phones4u has gone cheaper! It’s always great news to bring out one of these posts, the Nokia N95 Black tariff is now available for £5 cheaper making it £45 per month for 750 minutes and 250 texts. The tariff itself is called Vodafone Anytime Calls Mobile Internet -18 months, therefore it has to be an 18 months contract, however the new updated special offer is that now you get unlimited mobile internet + unlimited landline calls as well!

This post is abit late and should have been published over the weekend but here it is! The latest refined and redesigned edition of Nokia N95, the N95 Black 8Gb edition is now out and available locally throughout the UK.

At the moment, our findings show that the new Nokia N95 Black is available only from Vodafone. But we will keep everyone updated on any news.

One important point to note is that the N95 8Gb just released here in the UK is the internal version (Source: Phones4U), unlike the N95 8Gb which will be available to Asia, ours will not have a memory card slot and therefore you should not expect a memory card to come with your package if you do buy one (at least that’s the info at the moment).

It’s finally official, the two most recently announced Nokia handsets, the latest version of N95: the N95 8Gb and the N81 will be arriving the UK by mid-November. This news appeared on Phones 4U‘s site today, so it seems that about a month after the launch of SE K850i and W910i (12 October), Nokia will be launching their own very competitive latest N95 8Gb and N81.

The N95 8Gb which has attracted alot of attention recently will only be available in black as pictured on the right, obviously this seems very much like an action by Nokia to counteract their biggest rival’s recent product launch as soon as possible, how will the Sony Ericsson K850i and the Nokia N95 8Gb compare in terms of quality and user uptake? And will the N81 revive Nokia’s gaming dreams? We’ll just have to wait and see :)

Since the news about the new upcoming Nokia phones was announced late last month, we haven’t had much focus on two of the most speculated phones unveiled, the Nokia N95 8Gb edition and the Nokia N81.

Nokia N95 (8Gb)

If you are currently using the old Nokia N95 already, it may appeal to you that though this looks like the previous version of Nokia N95, this new 8Gb edition has had some slight alterations to its design to give it a more trendy look.

As you can see in the pics below, the new 8Gb N95 has a larger screen, 2.8 inch to be precise, as a result you may feel that the keys at the bottom of the screen have become squashed abit, however this hasn’t yet raised any major issues. Being a slider phone just like its previous, the multimedia keys which stand out when the sliding screen is pushed downwards have been redesigned to be more prominent and more accessible, increasing your ease of handling video and music play.

Here’s a reminder of how they compare, the original N95:

Back in June, when we wrote a post about a few of Sony Ericsson’s latest upcoming phones, I recently found out we had entirely forgotten to write about the Sony Ericsson W910i!

You may consider the W910i to be a rather “lite” version of the upcoming W960i, however the W960i’s UK launch date is still uncertain. As for the W910i, it is expected to arrive soon, so I hope this quick post isn’t too late.

[sitethumb://www.phones4u.co.uk/coming-soon/cindex.asp]

So what does the W910i offer?

For a start, the W910i will be a brilliant handy, thin slider, only 12.5mm thick (compared to K850i 17mm thick, Nokia N95 21mm, Samsung G600 and E950 14.9mm thick) and will come in “Hearty Red” and “Noble Black” have a look at some of its major specs listed below:

  • GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900
  • 3G, EDGE, GPRS, HSDPA (3.6Mbps), A2DP
  • 86g in weight
  • TFT, 256K colors
  • 240 x 320 pixels, 2.4-inch screen
  • Memory Stick Micro (M2) card slot
  • 40MB internal memory
  • Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP
  • USB 2.0
  • 2 MP camera
  • Standby time: up to 400 hours
  • Talk time: up to 9 hours
  • Other features:
    • RSS reader
    • Walkman player 3.0
    • TrackID music recognition

The W910i will not have a touch screen like some might have expected. However improvements to the walkman series phones such as higher camera resolution and better quality videos plus the ability to play windows media files and real player files will certainly make it a stronger competitor amongst the current new line of multimedia phones.

Ok, enough reading! Check out some actual hands-on videos after the jump:
