You will probably remember seeing another similar gallery where we featured the Nokia N95 vs the N85 it raised a few mixed comments and questions about whether or not the N85 was actually more superior than the N95. Now we have for you another comparison, N95’s successor: N96 gets compared to the N85, see what you think!

Nokia’s latest N series two way slider handset N85 has now arrived the UK. Along with the very prestigous N96, this has probably been the next in line most looked forward to latest handset from Nokia. If you remember, we featured a N85 hands on video back in September, for those who have since been captured by its charming appearance (OLED display!) and excellent functionality, you might like to know the Nokia N85 is now available (as of 31/10/2008) via Dial-a-Phone.
Though we received messages earlier on that Phones4u would be the main distributor for it here in the UK, we have as yet not seen any updates, but we’ll keep you updated on this matter.
Currently, Dial-a-phone has the Nokia N85 on offer for free from Orange on an 18-month contract for £35 a month. Included with this is also a special offer of three months half price, a free magic number and each month you will receive unlimited texts in addition to 600 tariff included minutes.

You just got to love that OLED display on the Nokia N85, if you’ve watched the video of the N85 we featured recently then you will absolutely enjoy looking at these pics. With a 2.6” Active Matrix OLED display of contrast ratio more than 1:1000, you can easily tell from the pics which phone has got the more attractive screen…
Here’s a hands on video of the soon to arrive Nokia N85 two-way slider. If you’re a Nokia fan, you will probably be as excitied as I am about the arrival of this phone. Just to recap on its specs, it is a Symbian S60 smartphone with 2.6” OLED display, 5-megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss lens and N-Gage gaming platform, GPS and an accelerometer! As for music, this new multi-entertainment smartphone packs a 3.5mm jack, stereo speakers, stereo Bluetooth, FM transmitter and radio. No exact date on when the N85 would be available, however we expect it to be launching via Phones4u in the next few months, most likely before Christmas!
