When we were sent the LG Renoir KC910 for some hands on review, we were already well impressed with LG’s ability to have made such major all round multimedia improvements in the new LG Viewty successor. But now it seems LG’s plans are official and they will be taking that even further for the coming 2009. As you will have heard, just last week, a picture of a new full touchscreen phone, the LG Arena KM900 surfaced. We can now be fairly confident that this is true and this latest flagship called the LG Arena will have some very stunning features and even more so, some features which have not yet even been seen on mobile phones (not that I know of)! The LG Arena will have a unique user interface that takes the form of a 3D cube. This new cube-based layout provides four customisable home screens for direct access to all features. This makes accessing music, movies, pictures much more easier than most phones, so if you thought the LG Renoir’s updated user interface already showed vast improvement, the LG Arena’s user interface will definitely strike you as something quite unique.
Though we don’t know all about its specs at the moment, this will be revealed in greater detail in due course – Mobile World Congress, February 16th at 2.00pm (CET). All we do know from our friends at the LG Blog is the below, though I wish I could find out more about whether its got an amazing camera sooner!
Hey folks, we’ve got a few more pictures of the Samsung Show – the first pico projector phone which was featured at this year’s CES. Yes, we do realise the previous pictures were absolutely rubbish, so sorry about that! Hopefully the ones in the gallery below are much better, thanks to Slashgear.

Here’s a video by Jimmy Ruska showing you how you can use Google’s search function in a more advanced way, so well that it should if correctly used, be more effective than network and services such as the ever popular Limewire. Not only will you be able to find the music you’re looking for, you may be able to tweak this trick abit and look for things like college lecture notes and videos. Using Firefox is advised though!

Japanese researchers at Takashima R&C Laboratory have developed the world’s first saxaphone-playing robot, which is capable of playing highly complex pieces such as John Coltrane’s “Giant Steps”.

Not the latest news but these are very neat gadgets:

Takara Tomy, Japan, released its ‘Transformers Music Label Series in the Japan market, which consists of a ‘Soundwave’ mp3 player which supports memory cards with a SD slot and earphone ‘Frenzy & Rumble’. The mp3 player it self runs on a single AA battery which can last for about 6 hours.
Based on the video I found from YouTube (after the jump), these were available in very limited quantities and were quickly sold (within hours!). However, i have managed to find a site that claims to sell them in a set of two for $169.95 available in mint box: http://www.tfsource.com/Reissues/mp-3%20Player%20Soundwave/mp-3-soundwave.html.
