Made for geeks, why do I say that? We all know Audi R8 is one special fast car and expensive too, but this one called the Blackbird is even more special. It’s basically a gizmo car! It’s been given four GPS units, two radar detectors, police scanner, CD radio and on board the car you can also surf the internet using WiFi through a tablet PC. Sounds alot like a get away car in police chase scenes, only thieves never drive anything as fancy as this. There’s much more, just watch the video, careful, it’s abit loud!

Make use of that hard disk space in your Xbox 360, this video shows how easy it actually is to install full Xbox 360 games to the hard drive. The feature is said to dramatically improve load times and from the looks of things, it will be a fairly simple process.

Check out this latest Playstation 3 3-month modification project by PS3Hax, though this ‘laptop’ is abit big (16 x 10.5 x 4 inches when closed), when opened up it features a 17-inch 720p HDTV, 320GB HDD, built-in speakers and a keyboard. Great for ‘portable’ gaming and also websurfing, checking your email, typing is not a problem here!

One man from the UK by the name of jube808 is a fan of the PSP but he feels there should have been alot more functionality to the PSP when it first came out. He has therefore set goals to recreate and modify a PSP himself to the way that he thinks it should have been when it first came out. His PSP mod will include improving battery life, a better control pad and most importantly touch screen!

So called the ‘PSP Touch’, he has now been able to achieve this and two videos have been found showing this in action. However, he is yet to achieve his other aims, hopefully we will hear more news about his project…

Lego is probably one of the things that we find most enjoyable to talk about here on this blog, unfortunately its not easy to build every from Lego. Luke Andersen, a computer science major student from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, decided that he wanted to have something special for a PC, something with a wow geeky factor. So he made up his mind and first created the plans for his PC via a simple CAD program. Then he bought 1,238 Lego pieces (for a total of $140) to assemble his masterpiece as pictured, his design includes a removable panel which is pretty clever because he’ll always be backed up just in case he needed an upgrade. Another clever thing about using Lego to build his PC tower is that he can probably design places where he could easily take chunks of Lego out in the situation that the PC overheated.

And if he didn’t like the design, he could always smash it and rebuild a different design, that’s $140 well spent!

Geeks like us are always coming up with new ways to keep ourselves away from anywhere else in the house except at the desktop next to our beloved PC. Here we have another, rather extreme example that I wouldn’t have done, but someone did decide that they needed to cook while sitting at their PC. Their are also instructions published on how to do it over at Instructables (follow the link at the end of the post if you’re interested). The USB frying pan here in the picture, seems to cook rather well in the video, it does appear to take some time to heat up, I would say it looks rather dangerous and probably makes your room and computer all smelly and oily if you decided to fry something up? Might want to consider covering up the keyboard with a keyboard napkin if you want to keep things from getting all greasy!

A proud owner of a black BMW 335i decided that he wanted to preserve his car well and wanted it to look exactly as it did when it was originally bought, so what should he do? Just drive carefully?

We all have this on our mind when at some point we buy a new car, however, I don’t think many would go into such an extreme as to do what this particular owner did.

How to preserve your car really really properly, like this white BMW 335i...

Originally black, the owner of this BMW decided to wrap up his car using 3M wrap and as a result his black 335i became white… Because 3M wraps are available in a whole range of colours these days, the tape itself is thick enough to protect the paint from minor chips and nicks and it can be left adhered to the surface for three or four years without damage! This is pretty clever and I believe if he does decided to sell this car, the new owner will find it quite interesting ‘unwrapping’ this car, check out some pics in the gallery…
