This is a prime example of why the idea of open source on the G1 was so welcomed. Auto rotation (like that on the iPhone) is a feature that the G1 and its accelerometer does not support out of the box. Rather than wait for Google to enable this feature, a developer modified the G1 source code to enable auto-rotation and has released the hack in his G1 Tweak Tools software package. The auto-rotation appears smooth and responsive and works both on the home screen and within applications.

If you or someone you know loves to play games like Street Fighter, then you will know things can get abit out of hand or too much for the PSP to handle. Sometimes in order to pull the right move you want, you need a proper controller. That’s not the reason why modder “F00″ built this mod but its a great excuse to get your hands on this I think very cool and unique SNES controller mod.
The mod was done when F00 was approached to do a mod for someone who had difficulty with the controls on the PSP, here’s how it was built…
This mod was achieved by adding a small socket to the back of the psp ( the socket was sent to me by a friend some time ago so I dont have a part number. I believe it was intended for a cell phone). I taped all of the relevant points on the psp mother board (some of which where horribly close together and tiny. Actually not some ALL of them where), and then ran these to the socket. I used a file and dremal to cut a whole in the back of the psp and the socket fitted in with a satisfying *click*. I then put together a custom cable and plug that would fit the newly attached socket. This was then wired to the snes controllers pcb (attached directly to the traces of each button.
I cannot believe someone would have the imagination to create a case mod for the PS3 to an extent that is as details as this. Created by Butterkneter of Bit-Tech, this incredible Far Cry 2 case mod includes an AK-47 magazine, bullet casings and giant bugs, as well as the idea for the battle of a damaged PS3 as pictured, enjoy the gallery!

The iPhone Dev Team is still hard at work unlocking the iPhone 3G for us, a signifigant milestone has now been reached with the ability to run a custom baseband.
Here’s a screenshot of a 3G iPhone whose baseband has been modified. And even though it’s modified — and fails the integrity check — it’s still running…
…Running modified baseband code is a very useful ability, but it’s still not possible to accurately estimate how close we are to the ultimate goal.

The name Cinemagraph comes from the 1890′s device made famous by the Lumière Brothers that led to the birth of the world’s first motion picture. It was a device that not only was the camera, but also processed the film, and projected the work. Likewise, the CinematographHD is equipped to be taken on location and direct capture, edit, and then output full HD video.
