Panasonic last week officially launched their new Lumix DMC-GF1, its third Micro Four Thirds camera at the IFA in Berlin. Claimed to be thw world’s smallest and lightest possible DSLR camera with built in flash, the GF1 comes in three colours – red, white and black and has a retro-like thin body design that challenges that of the Olympus E-P1 “PEN”.
When you think of netbooks, a large majority of them are tiny laptops built based on a nasty block of plastic, with no elegance to it whatsoever. ASUS’ new Eee PC 1002HAE (consider it an upgrade from the 1002HA) is abit different. The 1002HAE has an exterior aluminum skin which gives an added advantage of shedding half a pound of weight from 1.45kg to 1.2kg. While its main specs remain much the same – 1.6GHz N280 processor, 802.11b/g/n, 1GB of memory and 160GB disk, 1.3 megapixel webcam, memory card slot, 3.8-hour Li-Polymer battery, and 10-inch 1,024 x 600 pixel LED backlit display.
Vertu are well known for making phones with elegant designs and a huge price tag and China are well known for making the exact same look-a-likes but literally priceless (and worthless). So this is what I suppose results when the Chinese decides to create a fake phone called the Lamborghini Vertu phone to rival against a Ferrari Vertu phone. By the way, this is literally a phone fake, because its not a clone, its completely original! You could give the Chinese for creating something original with their own design this time.
For those of you who care to know what the specs on board this phone fake are. There’s a camera, media player, FM radio, Bluetooth support, and of course a microSD memory card slot. In terms of size, the fake Vertu Ferrari phone has dimensions of 95×35×15 mm and weight of 102 grams.
Many like to call these e-readers, or e-book readers or even e-paper display devices, like the Kindle, BeBook is a device with a display that looks exactly like as if you were reading from paper. Of course, compared to paper, this is much more friendlier to the environment in that you’re not wasting any paper.
The BeBook which retailed at £249.99 both online and at the show, can read almost any popular file formats that you can think of, pdf, mobi, prc, epub, lit, txt, fb2, doc, html, rtf, djvu, wol, ppt, mbp, chm, bmp, jpg, png, gif, tif, rar, zip, mp3 (for audio books)

You will have heard of the news that Nintendo, like Sony is updating its popular handheld gaming device but with very little changes to its physical appearance. The new Nintendo DS will be called the Nintendo DSi, I suppose the most obvious feature is a slightly larger screen along with a 3 megapixel camera along with a proper SD memory card slot, other hidden features include audio enhancements including the functionality to listen to mp3s.
For more info, I suggest you click here…
From what we previously gathered from Nintendo UK, the DSi is now available first in Japan with a retail price tag of 18,900.00 JPY which converts to about £120 pounds. As for other countries, we will need to wait til 2009, so unfortunately, it will be very unlikely that you will see one of these under your Christmas tree (unless of course, if you pop around eBay, but it costs alot more!).
