Apple has decided to release the newest version of their XCode Integrated Development Environment app for a price this time. While XCode has been free for owners of OS X machines and has been included on the install media for years they’ve decided to charge a nominal fee for the latest release: $4.99.

This evening, Apple will present the much anticipated iPad 2, the second version of the tablet that revolutionized the world of handheld devices. According to sources, the event, which will be held in Yerba Buena Arts Center in San Francisco and could get a surprise.

Steve Jobs may possibly go on stage at the presentation of the new tablet. Earlier this year, the Apple chief took an indefinite medical leave of absence because of his health. Seven years ago, Jobs was diagnosed with a form of pancreatic cancer and underwent a liver transplant in 2009.
