Google Chrome OS out now? No, not officially but just one day after it was announced and demoed, its apparently available as an image file for VMWare. For those not familiar, VMWare simply allows you to run different operating systems within your own Windows, Mac OS X, etc. And if you don’t like it, just click and delete, no impact on your current OS whatsoever, therefore its a great way to test new OS’s risk free.

One limitation though, VMWare isn’t free, so the solution to this is to use VirtualBox which does the exact samething and works for all three systems – Windows, Mac OS X and Linux.

The latest MacBook and iMacs with upgraded specs are great, however they are still missing one thing which many PCs are now beginning to have – touchscreen technology. This is especially so since Windows 7 now officially supports the use of touchscreens. Though MacBooks and iMacs with touchscreens are not actually being produced and sold by Apple and instead by Troll Touch, a company with a long history of enabling touch technology for Apple computer products.

Although there are alternative ways of doing this such as popping up VMware Fusion, Apple hasn’t officially supported Bootcamp in running Windows 7 thus far. With the release of Windows 7 yesterday, Apple has announced official Boot Camp support is on the way, it won’t be too long before we see this update released, likely before 2010. Unfortunately, the update may be Snow Leopard only and likely not work on some older Intel Macs.

This new jailbreak tool extends its reach to the third generation iPhone 3GS as well as second generation iPod Touch. If you’ve got a non-jailbroken iPhone 3GS running 3.1, now’s your chance to redeem it into a proper iPhone once more. The upgraded PwnageTool allows the 3GS (and the second gen iPod touch) to be jailbroken thus allowing users to gain access to third party apps on Cydia for example. That’s the good news, there is one bad news though. The new PwnageTool still lacks the ability to jailbreak brand new iPhones which have come straight-out-of-the-box installed with iPhone OS 3.1.
