Technology has always been thought to improve the quality of living, I wonder if this piece of technology is one of them? A bit gross and disgusting, but these toilet seats can do you good by giving you a good warning of what to expect just in case you were in a hurry. A good symmetrical, all-round red colour probably indicates that its been a while since someone sat on it.

On the other hand, if you see the toilet seat like above with an orangy colour change, it would probably be a good idea to back off because it’s possibly still got the warm from the buttocks of the person just before you!!! :)

Apple has reached an agreement to standardise pricing across Europe. Price cuts will take place to its iTunes online music service within the next six months. This is mainly as a result of violating EU legislations to provide a standardised pricing with many european countries in which price drops have already taken place. These countries include Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Germany, Finland, France, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Sweden, Switzerland and Spain.

However, this may not be as simple as it seems. Because:

Apple currently must pay some record labels more to distribute their music in the UK than it pays them to distribute the same music elsewhere in Europe. Apple will reconsider its continuing relationship in the UK with any record label that does not lower its wholesale prices in the UK to the pan-European level within six months.

It would be interest to see within the next six months if some currently existing labels turn up missing from the European version of iTunes.

iPod, Zune battery marathon…

On November 29, 2007, in Entertainment Gadgets, by Admin Staff

Two of the most spoken about and perhaps most popular multimedia / music players on the market at the moment, the new iPod Classic and the new Microsoft Zune 80 but how do they compare in terms of music play battery life? As you may be aware, the first generation of Zune, the Zune 30 was only able to deliver 13 hours of continuous music, however this was a very simple task for the iPod… With the new iPod Classic now bringing up to 45 hours of music play, how will the new Zune compare?

When you think of LG mobile phones nowadays, you would probably think of the PRADA phone, while LG isn’t renowned for quality camera phones, it doesn’t mean they can’t make one! The LG KU990 is actually one good example, though it isn’t the first time LG has launched a 5-megapixel phone, the appearance of the new LG KU990 certainly isn’t as nerdy as the LG KG920!

What makes the “Viewty” special is that it has been improved based on KG920′s attractive functionality. What we mean by that is… a camera with 5-megapixel (Schneider Kreuznach Lens), 2592×1944 pixels, autofocus / manual focus, video (VGA 30 frames per second, QVGA up to 120 frames per second), LED photo light and image stabilisation. In my opinion, the ability for the KU990 Viewty to shoot up to 120 frames per second is truly incredible. That rate could possibly be 2-4 times faster than any normal video camcorder, that being said, such a rate is highly capable of shooting fast moving action videos.

If that hasn’t attracted you yet, on top of all that high-tech machinery the Viewty will also come with a 3-inch touchscreen which produces gentle responsive vibrations when touched much like the of Motorola’s V8. With the new KU990 being a 3G (HSDPA, 3.6 Mbps) phone, the phone will be able to directly upload and watch videos straight from YouTube, now this certainly is something that iPhones haven’t been able to offer!

Check out the LG KU990 Viewty demo video and also a video taken at 120 frames per second right after the break:
