Before you guys check out this video, if you have a LG Crystal GD900, don’t go throwing yours into the fish tank! Even though it may seem like the same phone, it is in fact somewhat different. The one swimming along side with the fish in this video has actually been modified with a touch of transparent food membrane, giving it basically a waterproof case.
This is what you’ve all been waiting folks. Here’s a demo of the LG Crystal GD900‘s crystal keypad, it is absolutely, the world’s first. What’s even more amazing as you will see in the video demoed by our friend Helen from the LGBlog is that this transparent keypad has multiple hidden functions. It will not just work as a keypad but also a touchpad for UI navigation, handwriting, zooming in/out and even as a shortcut launch pad! The LG GD900 Crystal which LG debuted at the GSMA World Congress, will be the world’s first phone with a transparent design handset. Not everything on the slider handset is transparent but the rear slider is translucent and the keypad gives off a brilliant glittering glow. Specs on technical details on the LG GD900 was limited, but LG will make sure to bring out the specs for review later this year.
