Though not yet outed, still the Distagon T* 35mm f/1.4 by Carl Zeiss has been made public at Photokina and it has surely gathered the necessary media attention. The company says that it plans to launch the Distagon T* 35mm f/1.4 in the first quarter of 2011. The Distagon T* 35mm f/1.4 is said to be a premium manual focus 11 element lens.
Were not giving preference to Pentax based launches at Photokina rather it is Pentax itself that is regularly coming up with plenty of attractive products at short intervals. We have already talked about the Pentax K-5 launch and now here is Pentax with another launch at Photokina. Sony has unveiled two very non-pricey, highly affordable point and shoot Cyber-shots with high end specs. The DSC-TX1 and DSC-WX1 are both new additions to Sony’s Cyber-shot range. Sony has blessed the TX1 and WX1 with a back-illuminated CMOS sensor, the Exmor R. If you’re wondering why the duo will have near DSLR specs, its mainly because of its sensor. Their sensors will be based on those found in Sony’s DSLRs, this promises to deliver optimal low-light performance without help from a flash or tripod – something that not many point and shoots are doing so well at the moment.
Both 10.2 megapixel TX1 and WX1 will be under the stunning budget price of $380. The $350 WX1 features the exact same G Lens, low-light optimized Exmor R CMOS sensor and Sweep Panaroma mode as seen in Sony’s $500 HX1 mega zoom camera.
Casio’s latest EX-H10 is another one of those megazoom cameras with incredible functionalities such as the ability to take HD movies (720p HD at 24fps).
To begin retailing around mid-July, the $299.99 12-megapixel camera is fronted by a wide-angle 24mm lens with a 10x zoom with CCD-shift image stabilization in a body that’s 0.96 inch thick and weighs only 5.8 ounces.
