Toshiba has launched the world’s first dual touch screen e-book laptop to mark the 25th anniversary of the company. The laptop named Libretto W100, weighs just 819 grams and runs on Windows Platform. Just launched recently are a range of brand new Sony VAIO ultraportable laptops and home entertainment PCs, by no means ultra affordable, and instead we would say on the high end close to luxury, the X Series carbon fiber bodied notebook is definitely worth a look.
The highly anticipated VAIO X Series is the world’s lightest notebook at just 655g, and measures 13.9mm thin making it breathtakingly slim. With an 11.1” X-black widescreen LCD and up to 16 hours of battery life, it is the perfectly balanced package for style-aware business travellers.
The all-in-one VAIO L Series with a high resolution 24” LCD touchscreen (never yet been seen on VAIO PCs) puts HD entertainment at your fingertips. The premium home entertainment PC has a chic, space-saving all-in-one design with intuitive fingertip control that allows you to enjoy your media collection with VAIO’s Media Gallery software.
Well Dell didn’t just tease us to clarify, they’re teasing everyone and all those who wanted to own an Adamo. The Adamo which we’ve covered extensively here on GadgetLite is probably one of the most classy and elegant laptops we’ve ever seen.
Despite Dell’s mysterious picture of the Adamo XPS, they have revealed one important spec – the Adamo XPS will be 9.99mm thick which makes it even thinner than the original Adamo (16.39mm) and much thinner than the MacBook Air (19.4mm at its thickest), that’s certainly a selling point. Unfortunately, we’ll probably have to sit through a batch of intermittently leaked pics, ads, etc, before seeing the real thing get revealed. For those who are interested, we recommend you sign up for news on the Adamo XPS over at Dell here…
At the IFA 2009, Sony has unveiled their latest addition to the VAIO family. The VAIOX is a half-inch thin ultraportable laptop with an 11.1-inch screen, despite the lack of official full specs at the moment Sony has said that the VAIO X is set to further push the battery life limit amongst laptops.
With this in mind, the VAIO X is likely to pack an Atom processor but the price of this new lappie along with its well equipped luxurious body kit, it won’t surprise us too much should the pricetag be abit on the heavy side.
