A slim sliding QWERTY, a five megapixel camera, 3.7-inch display, a slim body just slightly thicker than that of the iPhone, oh and it runs Android 2.0 – could this be the perfect iPhone killer waiting to be unleashed?
Hardware wise, the Motorola Droid will be the most competent Android phone yet to fight it out against the likes of iPhone 3GS and the Palm Pre. Underneath the business smartphone style design is the same snappy core processor, the TI OMAP3430 which powers the iPhone 3GS. A couple weeks ago we mentioned about the launch of the Motorola Dext- Motorola’s first ever Android powered smartphone. To be available exclusively from Orange in the UK it has been confirmed that the new Android Moto phone will be on sale in Orange retail outlets from tomorrow as wellas in Phones 4U stores from the 8th October.

Its been a while since Motorola caught our attention but last week they’ve finally taken a step forward to unleash their new and first ever Android powered smartphone – the Motorola Dext (or Cliq if you’re elsewhere not in Europe).
Due to arrive the UK next month via Orange, not only will the Dext be an Android powered sliding beast but also one with a touch of Motorola customisation. Known as MOTOBLUR (Motorola Blur), the platform aims to act as a social media aggregator syncing with Facebook, Twitter, Gmail, Picasa and others onto a customizable homescreen that displays info users want from any of the services.

Stealth Computers has launched their latest addition to the rugged portable computer line up. The NW-2000 (NW stands for Notebook Warrior by the way) is one special rugged laptop, not only has it been well equipped with plenty of protection but on board is actually a convertible tablet notebook with a resistive, 13.3-inch touchscreen display.
Running on Intel’s 1.06GHz Core 2 Duo CPU, the NW-2000 has 2GB of RAM (4GB maximum), a 160GB shock-mounted hard-drive (or optional SSD), WiFi a/g/n, Bluetooth, gigabit ethernet and GPS, optional HSDPA, a standard DVD burner, PC card slot and fingerprint scanner.
In terms of how tough this tablet laptop actually is, the NW-2000 has a spill-resistant keyboard and can cope with being dropped 91cm onto a wood-covered concrete surface 26 times in succession without suffering any impairments to its functionality.
