Settle down, this is by no means an official release. In fact this is merely just a concept, a thought of what a MacBook tablet computer could look like. While the MacBook Touch tablet concept by Isamu Sanada from Japan doesn’t come with any specs (leave that to your imagination), I’m not absolutely sure whether I would like to see the iPhone OS running on a tablet version of the MacBook. This makes it feel like a supersized iPhone, why not go for Mac OS X instead?

The clever Japanese researchers at the Brain Science Institute (BSI) Toyota Collaboration Center have done something quite incredible once again. Using a wheelchair controlled by brain waves measured using EEG, it’s basically a system that will control the ride using brain waves analysed every 125 milliseconds; therefore the name “mind controlled wheelchair”.

As you will see in the video to follow, testers using the wheelchair and the EEG cap system have achieved accuracy of up to 95% which is not a bad figure considering a high tech wheelchair like this may be used in place of current manual wheelchairs for patients who have had strokes or other significant mobility impairments.

When you think of netbooks, a large majority of them are tiny laptops built based on a nasty block of plastic, with no elegance to it whatsoever. ASUS’ new Eee PC 1002HAE (consider it an upgrade from the 1002HA) is abit different. The 1002HAE has an exterior aluminum skin which gives an added advantage of shedding half a pound of weight from 1.45kg to 1.2kg. While its main specs remain much the same – 1.6GHz N280 processor, 802.11b/g/n, 1GB of memory and 160GB disk, 1.3 megapixel webcam, memory card slot, 3.8-hour Li-Polymer battery, and 10-inch 1,024 x 600 pixel LED backlit display.

iPhone gadgets: The Game Boy iPhone case

On April 3, 2009, in Cell Phones, Gadgets, Gaming, Geeky, by Admin Staff

Apparently only known to be available in Japan, this Game Boy iPhone case once put on turns your iPhone into a look alike Nintendo Game Boy. Those of you who enjoyed the iGameBoy free iPhone theme we posted a couple of months ago will definitely enjoy this. Though the buttons aren’t real and the plastic of this iPhone case does give it a shiny reflection, there’s nothing more fun than using it to play a prank on some of your geek friends :)
