Unlike Android users, if you’re an iOS device owner you’ll have noticed you don’t have the luxury of choosing fancy ‘live’ / moving wallpapers. I’ve found this especially annoying as an iPhone 4 user because the retinal display would have been brilliant for this task should Apple have enabled this feature. But the obvious downside would have been a compromise to battery life. Nevertheless vWallpaper is an app that’s been around for a while but now compatible with iOS 5.

 

As you will have guessed correctly, such a function would not possibly be authorised by Apple and hence the app is available for download only via Cydia meaning you will need to jailbreak your iOS 5 device.

Its been a feature many users have pondered over – why can’t we delete music / songs directly from our iPhone / iOS device? I suppose this in some ways is what makes iOS devices unique from others, yet it is disturbingly inconvenient in my opinion. While we had little mention of this feature when iOS 5 was officially announced earlier this week, it looks like the screenshots below certainly proves Apple is listening to what we want.

Announced today as expected, iOS 5 will be arriving this Fall iOS 5 will be available as a free software / firmware update for iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPad 2, iPad, iPod Touch (fourth and third generation). With over 200 new features, one of the most looked forward to changes was a new notification system and Steve Jobs certainly haven’t disappointed Apple fans with this new upcoming update.
