Hey folks, just days after the first screenshot of the new Pwnage Tool for jailbreaking iOS devices running 4.1 was released, we now have the official word that its ready for download. The new free Pwnage Tool 4.1 will support jailbreaking of iOS 4.1 on iPhone 3G, 3GS, iPhone 4, iPod 2G, 3G and 4G. In addition, it’ll also jailbreak the iPad as well as the new Apple TV 2.

The folks at Spatial View recently announced the launch of their online store for offering downloadable 3D videos and 3D images called 3DeeCentral. Soon iPhone and iPod Touch users (and most likely iPad) will be able to download and directly watch 3D content via their 3DeeCentral application which is currently pending the App Store’s approval. The video below demonstrates how this will work.

Check out this latest browser speed comparison test featuring the browsers on the iPhone 3GS and a Samsung Windows Phone 7. The test involved loading various major sites and most of the time there was a considerable difference, but it is worth baring in mind that the WP7 is still in beta.

Skype has just released a long awaited software update to their Apple iPhone app. The new version, 2.0.0, now supports 3G calling. Full improvements include:

  • Call using your 3G connection. Skype-to-Skype calls on 3G are free until at least end of August 2010, after which there will be a small monthly fee (operator charges for data will still apply).
  • Near CD-quality sound for Skype-to-Skype calls using wideband audio (SILK codec) on iPhone 3GS and 2nd generation iPhone touch.
  • Enhanced call quality indicator.
  • Improved start-up time.
  • Fast access to the dial pad from iPhone home screen.
