Apple has given the MacBook a much needed upgrade to its specs. The processor jumps from 2.13GHz to 2.26 GHz, the HDD from 160GB to 250GB, while the 2GB of DDR2 RAM has been swapped for the same amount of slightly faster DDR3 memory. Visible changes include a new rubber bottom, glass multitouch trackpad, LED backlighting to go with its 13.3-inch display and a non-removable built-in seven hour battery which has already been seen on the MacBook Pro.
Since the UK Apple store has just re-opened, we can now report that the new pricing for the above MacBook will be £799 which isn’t bad at all considering all the new premium features you’ll be getting.
There’s been quite alot going on at Macworld, we’re aiming to bring you the very best and the essense of it all 🙂 At Macworld today the new iLife ’09 was revealed and one of the applications that make apart of iLife is iMovie. I’m not sure how many of you have used it before since it’s not the easiest of all video / clip making softwares, but we have used it to make a few videos over at our YouTube channel. The new iMovie features precision editing, advanced drag and drop, animated travel maps, and image stabilization. With the new iMovie you can grab audio from another clip then add it to a different clip easily. You can view your projects in a thumbnail view as opposed to the iPhoto ‘08. Image stabilization is said to be really nice but slow to correct, but worth every penny. You can now add effects to your videos and also add slow motion to any clip. There are updated themes and many more great new features!
