The Samsung Omnia has really come a long way since it was first released. Phonearena have put together a nice video review of the latest version of the Omnia, the Omnia HD i8910. Not only does it have a competitive eight megapixel camera with flash, HD video recording and playback, a surprisingly good battery life, and a form factor that’s not too hard on the pocket, measuring in at just a wee bit taller and thicker than the HTC Touch HD. You will also see from the video that its AMOLED looks brilliant, highly responsive to touch and seems simple and easy to get use to.

Both the Canon EOS Rebel T1i and the Nikon D5000 are the latest digital SLRs to be released this year by the two popular camera brands. While the Nikon D5000 is cheaper and does offer a fancy articulating display which always attracts that bit more attention, the T1i does offer more megapixels (15.1) and boasts full HD video capture.

Either way, both are not a cheap investment especially at this time and if you’ve been considering them, the specs comparison table after the jump may help you decide which would suit your needs best.

Straight after the Easter long weekend, Nikon has now announced the recently much rumored D5000. With a 2.7-inch articulating display, the D5000 is equipped with a 12.3 megapixel DX-format sensor that maxes out at ISO 3200 with a 4fps burst rate, sports one-button Live View, and 720/24p movie mode. Other features include an 11-point AF system with 3D focus tracking and 19 scene modes. With a number of high end features, the price tag is pretty heavy as well, the D5000 will cost $849 with a 18-55 VR kit lens, or $729 for just the body – not surprisingly, this price tag is just under that of the Canon T1i.

Is this the real deal? We have absolutely no idea whether this is just another photoshop mock up calling it the MacBook Mini. Mind you, April Fools is coming up! These are spyshots of what is allegedly the Apple netbook which we have all been waiting for, they were leaked and printed in a Russian magazine. What’s more is that the specs revealed showed no signs of on board 3G wireless connectivity, that’s odd for a netbook these days. Inside the supposed MacBook mini, there’s a 10.4″ screen with a 1,280×768 screen that handle HD videos. There’s also an Atom processor, 2 GB of RAM, WiFi, running Geforce 9400M, bluetooth, a 64GB solid state drive for storage, a USB port and a Mini DisplayPort.

Canon have just gone official with their new Rebel T1i DSLR, the latest in the Rebel series of entry-level DSLR and the first to feature HD video capturing. Fans of DSLR will know straight away that this is a major blow in the head for the Nikon D90, lets see what Nikon will come up with next!

From 1080p video capturing at 20 fps (and 720p at 30gps), to its 15 megapixel sensor for stills, and ISO speeds up to 3200 (with 6400 and 12800 “additional” settings). Everything about the new Canon Rebel Digital T1i just makes me want to just pull out $800 straight away (or $900 with an EF-S18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 lens) and pay for this badboy. Unfortunately, the T1i isn’t going to be out until May!
