A slim sliding QWERTY, a five megapixel camera, 3.7-inch display, a slim body just slightly thicker than that of the iPhone, oh and it runs Android 2.0 – could this be the perfect iPhone killer waiting to be unleashed?
Hardware wise, the Motorola Droid will be the most competent Android phone yet to fight it out against the likes of iPhone 3GS and the Palm Pre. Underneath the business smartphone style design is the same snappy core processor, the TI OMAP3430 which powers the iPhone 3GS. Its been a long wait but we knew it had to be soon, O2 has finally made official the launch date of the Palm Pre. On the 16th of next month - October 2009, O2 will officially be selling the Palm Pre here in the UK. According to O2′s, the Palm Pre will be free on a 2 year (24 month) contract and free on 18 month tariffs at £44.05 or £73.41 per month.
After having the exclusive opportunity of seeing first hand the brand new Black Label Series LG Chocolate BL40 last week, here’s my first impressions of the new phone from LG and also some photos and videos from that night. It was one of the best LG events I’ve ever attended, LG wanted the launch night to be extraordinary and to do that they invited UK designer Wayne Hemmingway to celebrate the launch of the BL40.
What every phonemaker wants to accomplish when they launch a new handset is for people to think that it is like no other. For the LG BL40, LG wanted its first impression to be the phone of the future, to have an iconic design which makes it standout and distinct from any other.
