Here’s a cool video to start off the Monday morning. IntoMobile recently got a chance for some hands on with the new HTC Touch HD2 (previously also known as Leo). The HTC HD2 is a quad-band PPC phone with 4.3 inch WVGA capacitive touch screen, 1 GHz processor, 5MP camera, GPS, Wi-Fi and Windows Mobile 6.5 Professional.
After having the exclusive opportunity of seeing first hand the brand new Black Label Series LG Chocolate BL40 last week, here’s my first impressions of the new phone from LG and also some photos and videos from that night. It was one of the best LG events I’ve ever attended, LG wanted the launch night to be extraordinary and to do that they invited UK designer Wayne Hemmingway to celebrate the launch of the BL40.
What every phonemaker wants to accomplish when they launch a new handset is for people to think that it is like no other. For the LG BL40, LG wanted its first impression to be the phone of the future, to have an iconic design which makes it standout and distinct from any other.

Is the Sonim XP3 Quest absolutely indestructable? The XP3 Quest may come across as a pretty ugly looking phone but it does boast a good package of basic specs including GPS, a two megapixel camera with flash. Its been claimed by Sonim to be one of the most durable mobile phones you can get your hands on. Waterproof, shockproof, temperature proof, dust proof, you name it! Check out the video after the break when CNET puts it on the chopping board (well, not literally)…
Last week Sony announced the launch of their next in the line Alpha series DSLR cameras, the Alpha 500 and 550 (see the press release after the break). To be out from the end of October this year, the DSLR-A550 and DSLR-A500 digital SLRs are based around new CMOS sensors with added manual focus confirmation live view mode using the main imaging sensor, in addition to Sony’s secondary-sensor Quick AF live view system.
Both cameras feature Sony’s better noise reduction, include an Auto HDR mode and offer sensitivity of up to ISO 12800. The 14.2 MP A550 features a higher resolution 921k dot 3″ tilt-angle LCD, while the 12.3 MP A500 comes with a 230k dot resolution 3″tilt-angle LCD.The pictures below are the first hands on photos taken with the Alpha 500 by the folks over at Pocket Lint.
Though stepped up and improved, I think its a smart decision for Sony to keep the tilt-angle LCD as I have personally found it too useful when I tested previous models myself. See more photos after the jump… Continue reading »

Our friends at the LGBlog recently got a chance to do a quick photo shoot of the latest to arrive the LG Black Label family. The LG Chocolate BL40 was officially announced in the UK last week, of course the one spec not to forget with the BL40 is its 21:9 ratio, widescreen display. Check it out in the gallery below…
The new Zune HD’s most attractive feature to me is probably the video output via its dock which basically allows you to see everything you’ve got in your Zune on TV. The TV interface as you will see in the video below runs smoothly, allowing you to do everthing as you normally would such as accessing music, video, pictures, even radio and podcasts…
The folks over at Akihabara in Japan who knows very well what gadgets are cool and not were recently sent the very good looking brand new Fujifilm FinePix REAL W1 digital camera. On the surface, the W1 may just seem like an ordinary 10 megapixel camera with a 2.8-inch LCD display but underneath this beast is actually well equipped with technology that currently makes it one of a kind.
Sadly the crew haven’t yet fully reviewed the new FinePix flagship but we look forward to hearing further from them, so for now check out this quick gallery…
