Yes, it’s that time again, time for another rumor! We’ve had concepts of what the next PSP could be like in the past months, such as the iWish which was a rather ridiculous and impossible thinking that both the PSP and iPhone could combine together. Then abit further back, we had the PSPhone, which was also another concept combining the PSP with the functions of a phone, if you just searched for PSP on our blog, I’m sure you’re find a few more. More recently, I saw a ‘sleeker’ concept for what the next PSP could look like, but really none of those that I just mentioned above claims that this will be PSP 2 which makes them reasonable. But what I have in the pics below are from a site that claims this will be the next PSP, in other words PSP 2 or PSP 3000 as some are calling it.

It’s in black and as you can see there is a new PlayStation button, with the mic and a thinner outer ring. There’s also the headphone jack with the TV out port which features more arrows than before.

Well what do you guys think? Because it’s from a site called pspchina (I know, my mind is full of pre-assumptions, I’m sorry!), it’s made me remain skeptical about it, what about you?

What you’re looking at is not just any wall of LCD displays stacked on top of each other to form a large display but is NASA’s highest ever resolution visualisation system. The ‘hyperwall-2′ is 23 feet high and 10 feet wide and consists of 128 screens driven by 128 graphic processing units with a total of 1,024 processor cores capable of displaying a quarter billion-pixel graphics!

Compared to NASA’s original system, which was developed over six years ago in 2002 by the NASA Advanced Supercomputing (NAS) visualization team, its original visualisation system consisted of just 49 screens, the hyperwall-2  is certainly a ‘massive’ improvement from its original.

Of course, the hyperwall-2 visualisation system won’t be used for gaming (let’s hope we receive some leaked pics of people trying to :) ), it will be used for more important things like exploring mars and stuff… Check out the pics and the NASA press release below for full details…

Not very long ago, Alex from Shiny Shiny released a video on YouTube about ten alternative ways to use the MacBook Air, mainly taking advantage of its light-weight and super thin exterior, check it out…

Now Rahul Sood, the CTO of HP’s gaming systems division (formerly VoodooPC), has found a new use for the MacBook Air: slicing cake! This I bet, never even came to Alex’s mind when she investigated into the many uses of the MacBook Air. The story behind this was that Rahul was handed a MacBook Air as a “present” at his birthday, he wasn’t quite sure what to do with it. So he tested its razor-thinness on the cake!

Wonder what Steve Jobs would think if he saw this picture?

Ever thought you could make better use of the touch screen on your NDS other than just gaming? Now you can turn your portable game console into a portable digital sketchbook with the NDS application called ‘Colors’. All the components you will need are a DS-compatible flash cartridge and a microSD card.

How to turn your Nintendo DS (NDS) into a digital sketchbook…

Colors is a fairly basic (no layers or undo yet) but still impressive paint app, and more features, like DS-to-DS collaborative painting, are coming. You can use a full-size Wacom stylus if the DS one cramps your style, and export via Wi-Fi or microSD.

Personally, I was well impressed with some of these drawings / ‘digital paintings’, check it out…

This “robochair”, developed by engineer Tsuyoshi Horo at Tokyo University, monitors you digitally with eight cameras and creates a 3D model of your body on screen. By pointing your hand / finger in a particular direction, the cameras will recognize the shape as an instruction, sending commands to the robot-chair to respond to your gesture.

Here’s a video showing how the human body is recognised, its pretty cool…

And in this video, the Robochair itself is given instructions by the person sitting on it…
