A good few months ago, we learnt the news that Puma had teamed up with Sagem to design a fashion logo branded phone which would not only be simply baring a brand on the surface but in fact have unique, useful and practical functionality within.
Many brands, most notable Prada (the first brand that comes to my mind) and D&G have been successful at picking gadget fans’ pockets by labelling existing phones with their badge yet underneath the expensive pricetag, the glamorous phone bares nothing more than what you would see in any old phone.
We’ve talked about the Audi R8 in the past, but at this year’s Paris Motor Show, Audi brought out its latest limited edition R8 GT. To be available in only a limited quantity magic number of 333, the new R8 GT will retail for €193,000 or equivalent to $256,000 USD.
Released at the beginning of the month, the new Creative T12 wireless speakers are compact and lightweight. They’ve been designed to be affordable, priced officially at Creative UK for £74.99 and therefore does not have its own subwoofer unit. However, Creative have given the T12 built-in BassFlex™ technology which is meant to extend low frequencies to deliver powerful music with more weight – without the need for a bulky subwoofer.
A quick ‘preview’ to the Paris Motor Show 2010 folks. While Lamborghini and the watchmaker Blancpain have teamed up together in the past to create head-turning limited edition supercars, this latest Gallardo by far is my favourite.
If you didn’t fancy the overly bling gold plated Porsche 911, this much more subtle Ferrari may be of interest to you. Thanks to Carrozzeria Zanasi of Maranello Italy, this one off super rare carbon fiber kitted Ferrari Scuderia Spider 16M is now up for sale at Ferrari Beverley Hills for a cheap $650,000. Though the Ferrari supercar isn’t brand new, you wouldn’t be able to tell from just looking at it.
Last week’s news but never too late. Sony adds to its growing Walkman family of PMPs, Sony have launched the new 7.2mm-slim bodied S750. While this new Walkman doesn’t boast OLED display or a touch screen, it does still churn out a good 50-hour long battery life for music playback and 10 hours for video playback. What’s more is that it also boasts noise cancelling functionality, a feature which we’ve loved in our previous reviews of Sony’s Walkmans (A845 and X1050).
We were recently sent the new Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 Mini for a quick test drive. The word ‘Mini’ often comes across to many with mixed feelings and with the phone being ‘X10 Mini’, there is no doubt that some will wonder as to whether it is a budget or low end version of the original Xperia X10. Indeed, we do think that the Xperia X10 Mini is a somewhat inferior mobile to the X10 – design wise and spec wise.
