Bored of zero BlackBerry rumors around the media? Well, we have something very cheeky for you. The in-famous BlackBerry Bold 9700 is about to face a new successor. If leaks from Boy Genius Report are to be believed then Research in Motion is planning to launch BlackBerry R020 which will be the successor of BlackBerry Bold 9700. The R020 will have double the RAM (512 MB) with a five megapixel cameara with flash.
I am not sure if BlackBerry will actually launch R020 as the real successor of BlackBerry 9700 as the features of R020 aren’t very new when compared to 9700 and even the name ‘R020’ isn’t that bold when compared to ‘BlackBerry Bold 9700’. Continue reading »

Here’s a gallery in response to Josh’s request, of the Nokia 6650 flip phone which was released this year over the summer. The Nokia 6650 is a GSM/WCDMA dual mode portable multimedia computer supporting WCDMA 850/2100 HSDPA and EGSM 850/900/1800/1900. It is equipped with GPS and allows users to find directions and locations with the integrated A-GPS and included maps. Take photos with a 2.0 megapixel camera and enjoy videos, music and graphics on the 2.2” QVGA (240 x 320 pixels), 16M color display. Additional features include Bluetooth 2.0 +EDR with Bluetooth Stereo and USB 2.0.
Softbank (huh?), yes it may be confusing, but its what they call Sharp nowadays in Japan. Featured above is the Softbank 824SH which was displayed at the CEATEC JAPAN 2008 in Tokyo and captured by AVING. It claims to be the world’s slimmest waterproof mobile phone, without me going into everything and destroying the excitement, here are the main specs:
- 2.8″ Widescreen QVGA LCD
- 3.2 Megapixel Camera
- 127 g
- W50.0 × H105.0 × D15.3 mm
Unfortunately like most things that launch from Japan, they take a long time or even never make it into our markets, let’s hope this one does!

The very posh Porsche Design mobile phone, the P’9521 which was announced back in June this summer has been indicated by the CarphoneWarehouse to soon be arriving later this month (November, 2007)! This post is perfect for those who doesn’t yet know much about this phone, for a start when this phone was first announced in the states it was estimated that it will cost approx. $1600! Why would it cost such a significant sum of cash? The likely answer to that is the fact that Porsche is a highly respectable brand and so will it’s branded phone. However the price does give you some good specs, major features of the P’9521 include, quadband, 3.2 megapixels camera with autofocus, flash and 4x zoom, mp3 player, fingerprint recognition…
And that’s not all, a quick tour and a video of the phone after the break!
