After all the hype for Sony Playstation Plus Service and Move Gadget, a new firmware update has been released by Sony. The 3.40 Version of the Firmware comes with a number of new features including PlayStation Plus and is now available for download. This update was expected to arrive soon since currently there is no support for Playstation Plus in previous firmware versions.
On June 21 /2010 Nintendo released a new firmware update 4.3. This update promises new features, better Wii performance and removes any “unauthorized modifications”. This update now checks through your Wii’s internal memory and locates any “unauthorized modifications” in it. When you modify or hack your Wii, the software makes some changes in your NAND memory which this update will find and remove.
There are many Android OS users all over the world that have been waiting Android OS 2.2 for so long, but there are some sad news for the G1 owners. Sadly, G1 users will be unable to use new Android 2.2 also known as FroYo.

It is essentially a jailbreaking tool which will provide you access to Cydia and not an unlocking tool. Its been quite a week for Apple with Steve Jobs unveiling yet another new update for the iPhone OS. Well this isn’t too surprising, jailbreak for iPad – done and dusted. Literally a day after its release, the iPad has been jailbroken by the iPhone Dev Team and can currently run an SSH server. The iPad which runs the iPhone OS firmware version 3.2 had a number of unpatched security holes before it launched and it turns out these flaws have now been released to the public. iPhone Dev Team were able to easily exploit this and jailbreak it using their existing iPhone 3.1.3 hack.
As we all gear up to the Apple event next Wednesday (27th Jan), most are already certain that we’ll be seeing Apple launch their first tablet Mac aka iSlate / iTablet. However, some are speculating that this isn’t all that Apple may be hiding. The latest rumor surrounding this suggests a brand new fourth generation iPhone 4G may be unveiled as soon as next week or this coming Summer. Its analysis by various sites differs at the moment but some believe there will be an iPhone 4G on the basis of the latest revealed shots of iPhone firmware OS in version 4.0.
