Google released a new software called O3D yesterday. It is a broswer plug-in which will bring accelerated 3D graphics to browsers such as Microsoft’s Internet Explorer (IE), Mozilla Firefox, Apple Safari , Linux and Google’s Chrome. Google O3D works on Windows, Mac OS X and Linux. Google hopes that the technology will be built directly into browsers eventually.

Google OCD allows developers’ Web-based JavaScript programs to tap directly into a computer’s graphics card chip, which means better games and other applications. Google has uploaded a video demo on its blog post with some information about Google O3D.

Its not just RapidShare download service delays that this wonderful, magical Firefox plugin can bypass, SkipScreen also works for other major file sharing sites like Mediafire, zShare Megaupload, DespoitFiles, Divshare, and LinkBucks, and we believe more are on the way. No, this plugin doesn’t enable your download to be faster, however it does enable you to get access to the file you need and start downloading faster, this sometimes can take a pretty long time. Its always so annoying when you want to download something from any of these sites that once you click on a file’s download link, you get taken through ads, human authentication, etc, that by the time you actually get to the ‘real’ download page, its taken minutes – that’s not right.

With SkipScreen, click on a file download link and SkipScreen will take care of things on its own, which means you can go back to doing what you were doing elsewhere and all you have to click on is the save file dialog box once it appears. No more waiting 20 seconds then click here and there, to find later on that you’ve missed the download time, skip all that!

Don’t you just hate it when you’re surfing the internet ‘peacefully’ when all of a sudden you click into a webpage and finds out you’ve just opened a .pdf file? Everything, even Firefox finds it difficult to retain the smooth pace that you want, everything just jams up and if you’ve got a slow PC you could wait forever. PDF Download currently in version 2.0 is a free add on for Firefox and Flock that will stop this from happening. This simple little extension gives you complete control over PDF files in a Toolbar button.

Rather than stick you all alone with a browser-jarring PDF file, the PDF Download extension provides you the option to: download the file locally, open it with Firefox using the PDF download options settings, view the PDF as an HTML file in the browser, bypass PDF Download, or cancel the link. The first two options are self-explanatory, while the “view as HTML” feature works a bit like Google’s own version of the feature, speeding load times while largely abandoning formatting. The dialog box also displays the size of the target PDF file, which can help in deciding which option to choose.
