Pentax has announced and confirmed the launch of their new mid-range DSLR camera. Known as the Pentax K-7, its expected to arrive us in the UK by end of June. With several new user-friendly features, including video recording, high dynamic range (HDR), and automatic horizon correction, Pentax looks to compete with the likes of Nikon D5000 however the K-7 will be more expensive than both similarly specced cameras from Canon and Nikon in the UK.
The new DSLR will feature a 14.6-megapixel sensor, ISO 100 to ISO 6400 settings and the company’s PRIME II imaging engine, an upgrade of the original PRIME. Continuous shooting gives a nice 5.2 images per second, like most new DSLRs, the K-7 too has “Live View” as well as video recording mode.
