Sony has announced the upcoming release of the VAIO NW series PC notebooks. The new VAIO NW series is only 1.2-inch thick, making it a direct competitor against thin laptops such as the Macbook Air.
The new VAIO NW series notebook computer features a quick web access button so you can get online without fully loading up your PC. It is also designed with unique tactile features such as a subtle textured surface applied across the cover and inside, and has an HDMI output for easy HD entertainment. Its environmental credentials are hard to miss with a one-touch “DISPLAY OFF” button and compliancy to the stringent ENERGY STAR 5.0 standard.

SanDisk yesterday unveiled what they claim to be yet the world’s fastest SDHC cards. The latest in technology new Extreme III SDHC series will come in 4/8/16/32GB capacities and will boast speeds of up to 30MB/second! These specs will be perfect for those looking to get more involved with HD video recording but have so far been annoyed by the lack of speed when it comes to transferring large video files.
Are you the type of computer user who doesn’t really get up to much typing and instead use your computer mainly for entertainment purposes? If that is you, then you might be interested in this new wireless keyboard by Cideko that’s aimed at the so-called media keyboards niche.

Here’s a bit of geeky PC fun for you all this Monday morning. This particular modder had a rather different approach to case mods and decided to apply more creativity and build this “log computer”. All the gut components of a PC have been fitted into this wooden log which has been carved especially for it.
