When we say big we really mean it. Before we plunge into the numbers lets dive into history tell you something exciting. StarCraft I took over one year to sell around 1.5 million copies since its launch. The game was a hit but took speed slowly in the market once critics as well as the users started to fall in love with it. The StarCraft madness took over the public but it didn’t set any happening records. On the other hand StarCraft II has sold 1.5 million copies in just 48 hours! So will you call this just a hit? We would call it a world record.
World of Warcraft (WoW) on the iPhone? Yes, you read it correctly! This isn’t necessarily a new app for the iPhone though. What you see in the picture and the video below is actually WoW being streamed to the iPhone via the iPhone’s 3G connection. What we understand from this is that, the actual online game is running on the PC but with the help of Vollee, WoW can be successfully streamed and yes, played on the iPhone 3G. It looks like from the video, most features of the game can be played and the speed looks pretty smooth taking into consideration it is 3G. Continue reading »

Yes, Starcraft 2, the game by Blizzard that I was looking forward to so much has been delayed. Here’s what they had to say…
The original Starcraft was built on a 2D engine, in spite of the competition having largely switched over to 3D engines. The savings in processing were applied to larger, more epic battles with dozens of units being rendered on the screen at the same time.
