First unveiled in March this year, the Samsung NX Series DSLR cameras recently got pictured up close by the AVING team at the IFA 2009. Samsung first announced that the first models would be available by the second half of this year and they are certainly on schedule with perfect timing. Samsung is calling the new NX Series hybrid digital cameras and by that they mean the NX Series will be able to offer the performance and image quality of a DSLR but the portability and convenience of a compact point-and-shoot. You would think these would be available by now wouldn’t you? Nope, this is actually the world’s first. This latest gadget, the Samsung LD220 USB monitor has been unveiled at the World IT Show 2009 in Korea. Dedicated for quick plug and play use with laptops and netbooks, the LD220 provides a brightness level of 300cd/m2, a contrast ratio of 30,000:1 and a response speed of 5ms.
Pricing details are yet to be revealed, but the LD220 will certainly not be world’s only USB monitor for very long, these gadgets should become much more popular as time comes as they are definitely very convenient to have.
You will recall not very long ago MSI unveiled their latest plans to counter Apple’s MacBook Air with two new ultra slim laptops, the X340 and X360. And what we have here is the X340. At the time we knew very little, but now more specs have been revealed at the CeBIT. The X340 will be equipped with a 13-inch wide LED display in the golden 16:9 ratio, the X340 will support various multimedia functions with HDMI and built-in Blu-ray. Continue reading »
