Apple iPhone

The iPhone is once again free! Following the not so hopeful jailbreak for iPhone v1.1.1 yesterday by a non-Dev Team (possibly called the ‘Elite’ iPhone Team), we now have one that does a much better job of breaking free the Apple iPhone firmware v1.1.1.

However, before I go on to summarise this new v1.1.1 unlocking method there is one bad news… this new hack is not applicable to those who used anySIM or iUnlock to unlock your iphone, if you do use it, it will brick your iPhone! It isn’t all all too bright, this new hack doesn’t help you ‘re-unlock’ your iPhone, which means those who have got their phones unlocked and upgraded to v1.1.1 will still need to be activated by the appropriate sims… Nevertheless this hack does partly bring your phone back to life by allowing it to use third-party applications and yes WiFi too :) We’ll definitely keep you updated with the latest news on this spotlight issue, as for now check out a demonstration video after the break to see how to get your iPhone apps working again.

This update includes the iTunes Wireless Store, but if you have an unlocked iPhone, this may really affect your phone. According to Gizmodo, the software update will work fine on simlocked iPhones, however, if your iPhone is unlocked this software brings your phone back to activation screen which eventually fails to be activated! So unlocked iPhones don’t go for this update (this is currently the safest recommendation)! Gizmodo has confirmed this fact with iPhones which have been unlocked using hacks provided by anySIM and iPhone Sim Free, whilst at the same time, third party applications also won’t work after this update is installed.

I came across this USB gadget while I was searching for a birthday present for my friend. This is called “stealth switch”, which claims to be “the worlds first desktop cloaking device”. I think this is perfect for those like my friend who sits next to his boss’s office.

Features:

This device can be hidden and controlled under your desk! With its 6″ USB cable, its foot tap button can be placed “hiddenly” under your foot. Once the foot tap is stepped, the following functions can be activated according to your preset options:

  1. To switch or hide your current window/ all windows instantly.
  2. You can preset to bring up a preferred window at all times.
  3. Password to protect your computer.
  4. Mute sound,etc…

You don’t have to turn off the monitor or do mouse clicks anxiously when your boss walks past.
