We heard rumors that Amazon is working on its own smartphone, and that we should see this smartphone available someday in 2014, and speaking of which, today we have more information regarding this device.
Released officially earlier this week, the HTC Flyer is an Android tablet which won’t be arriving with Google’s tablet dedicated Android OS 3.0, Honeycomb. According to the leaked Amazon product page, which is apparently still live, the HTC Flyer will retail for a pricey €669 or $900 USD.
The latest one of four Asus Eee Windows tabs to be launched is the Slate EP121 which boasts a 12.1″ 1280 x 800 pixel capacitive touchscreen display with an eletromagnetic panel and stylus for precise input. Powered by either 2GB or 4GB of DDR3 memory, underneath is a dual core Intel i5 CPU.
Though available in 32GB or 64GB solid state disk versions, the latter is already out of stock on Amazon. Other features of the Eee Slate includes Windows 7 Home Premium, 802.11b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth 3.0, a 2MP webcam, 2 USB ports, a microphone and headphone combo jack, a mini HDMI port, and a flash card reader. Tomorrow is the Black Friday. Amazon will be offering up the last gen Kindle 2 as a lightning deal for $89.99, starting at 9:00 am PT on Friday morning. This is a really good deal from Amazon’s own Black Friday deal. Although it’s the last generation, it’s still a good Kindle uses the same e-ink tech as the current Nook.
