Gallery: Land Rover LRX Concept

A bit of car tech to start off the morning folks. This is the LRX concept from Land Rover. Its the car maker’s bid to create a vehicle just as good as their existing hefty off road 4X4s, but with significantly reduced carbon emissions and increased MPGs; in other words, the most efficient car they will ever have producted. We know this is possible, but it will be pricy and in addition to that Land Rover isn’t doing so well. From last December through next month, 1,800 employees have either been laid off, released or asked to leave. Our government (UK) have already given Land Rover a £27 million ($38 million USD) loan to help put the LRX into production, but once its done doing that, will this car be as popular as any of its other not so eco-friendly models? One thing is for sure, its not going to be cheap.

Actually, I’m sorry my title has deceived you all, these Lambo buggies (ATVs that have been given a Lambo mod) featured at the 2009 Tokyo Auto Salon will still set you back by $20,000! Ah!!

Liberty Walk/LB Performance are Japanese Lamborghini tuners, and in addition to showcasing a selection of the supercars they’ve worked on, they also showed off a couple of ATVs they re-bodied to look like super deformed little Murcielagos.
