Though the 3D technology is very new yet companies aren’t shying away from experimenting as anything new that pops in related to 3D does attracts consumers at least for some time. The intense amount of research and development happening in 3D technology has surely brought the 3D world a lot further from where it started.

Gone are the days when people had to buy custom made glasses for 3D experience as companies like XpanD are launching 3D glasses that will be universally compatible.

Stop grinning! We don’t literally mean naked when we say Naked-Eye. It is a brand name that Toshiba has opted for their yet to be launched laptop. Toshiba has announced its glasses free 3D prototype which has been successfully displayed at Japan’s largest gadget expo, the CEATEC 2010. We have been hearing about rumours of the device for the last few months but nothing was official from the companies side. Suddenly Toshiba has come up with this new technology at the CEATEC 2010 and has surely gathered alot of attention from around the planet.

The folks at Spatial View recently announced the launch of their online store for offering downloadable 3D videos and 3D images called 3DeeCentral. Soon iPhone and iPod Touch users (and most likely iPad) will be able to download and directly watch 3D content via their 3DeeCentral application which is currently pending the App Store’s approval.
