Acer is one of the pioneers of 3D computer monitors, known for the GD235HZ launched early last year. Latest Acer HN274H comes with a screen diagonal of 27 inches and 100.000.000:1 dynamic contrast ratio. Bypassing fancy specifications, HN274H costs $ 689, and with this pricetag you’ll find a pair of NVIDIA 3D Vision glasses included too.
Android 2.2, NVIDIA Tegra 2, and 3-Axis Accelerometer, ideal for 3D gaming. These are just few of the super attractive features that make the eLocity A7 a killer tablet worth trying. Why buy the iPad (unless you madly love Apple) or any other tablet when you have an economically perfect tablet with features the same as most other tablets?
Don’t you just hate it when you have to wear glasses on top of your normal glasses just to watch a movie that’s in 3D? Why do we need to work around the tele and not vice versa? I reckon the creators of Nintendo’s latest handheld console had the same question. At the E3, Nintendo unveiled yesterday its newest handheld console, and yes it’ll do 3D.
Called the Nintendo 3DS, the new handheld even has a camera that can take 3D pictures, and it’ll be able to play 3D movies. So it sounds like 3D gaming, 3D photography is the way to go forward? The best bit – no more glasses.
All the 3D will appear on the top 3.5-inch widescreen display, while a lower, square-shaped touchscreen on the bottom is in 2D. In addition to the theme of 3D, the new 3DS will sport a new analog stick, a 3D depth-control slider and have home and start buttons moved to the bottom of the unit.
Announced not very long ago, the Lenovo S12 was the first netbook to sport the new Nvidia Ion platform. Not only did this mean Lenovo could offer a netbook that was capable of much higher demand performance than others (such as 3D gaming) but also it would be brilliant for those looking to process smoothly 1080p HD video encoding at their leisure on a small portable PC.

Microsoft has unveiled its latest addition to the Xbox 360 lineup called Project Natal at the E3 09. It is an interactive motion sensing system for Xbox 360 allowing gamers take control of titles using their entire body. There’s simply no controller, you just walk up to the console and start playing, making it quite a significant move forward, even from the likes of the Wiimote. Movements are captured and understood, as are faces, expressions and voices. It all seems very exciting and promising for the future of gaming. Project Natal will be a blow to Nintendo and Sony.
Lenovo IdeaPad S12 is the first netbook with NVIDIA’s ion technology, which mean it will be capable to run the whole HD-playing and 3D game. For example, according to Nvidia, Spore, Call of Duty 4, Portal, and World of Warcraft will all be playable.
Just to refresh, Nvidia’s Ion platform is essentially Intel’s Atom processor combined with the decent Nvidia 9400m graphics unit. It aims to provide smooth 1080p video decoding, including accelerated h.264 playblack, Blu-ray playback and moderate gaming capabilities. It is the same technology that launched with the Acer’s Aspire Revo nettop and Zotac main board.
Since most of the existing netbooks can’t handle multimedia at 720p or higher and cannot run any of the latest 3D gaming titles, Lenovo IdeaPad S12 is truly a revolution. Check out all the specs and the gallery after the break…
