In the video below you will see it, a revolutionary solar island capable of floating out in the sea like a giant lily pad harnessing the suns rays for electrical gains. It’s been designed by Swiss inventor Thomas Hinderling, at the moment, a 5km wide, 20m high island prototype is currently being built in the UAE and is expected to generate hundreds of kilowatts of electricity at a price nearly five times cheaper than current electricity rates. If everything goes well, this might just be a concept that could become reality and full production of these islands could begin as soon as 2011. Watch this video…

Having been inspired by the batmobile, this ‘flatmobile’ was built by Perry Watkins from Buckinghamshire, UK. At just 48 cm in height (just abit taller than the ducks at your local lakeside), this car is now officially the ‘lowest’ car in the world, it’s recently gone into the Guinness Book of Records. It is truly ‘low’, so low that the passengers inside it have got the majority of upper body above the car itself… The ‘flatmobile’ is so low that it appears to be nothing when compared to the already very small Fiat Punto (I hope I didn’t get that car wrong, it’s in the pic below). It’s also got a jet engine, but it’s horrible to drive says the creator…

Today iPhon.fr have reported what looks to be like the first screenshots of Nike’s upcoming kit for the iPhone. I’m not entirely certain what it will be, some are saying its an interface while others application. I’m sure it won’t take very long for this to be revealed. Meanwhile, what we can see from the screenshots below is that ‘iPhone Nike’ looks to be a tool that suits those who are serious about their exercise. Things such as performance charts, tracking your progress, find your way presumably using GPS, what’s more is that it also features calories calculation which everyone loves to see these days. Though no info on date of availability from Nike, if you’re looking to get organised about your exercise routine, then you wouldn’t want to miss it when it arrives…
