On April 23, 2014, in Cell Phones, by Mike Jefferson

Affordable smartphones are great, and today we have some affordable devices coming from Polaroid that are intended for teens.

Polaroid is known for its compact cameras, so it’s a bit strange to see a smartphone coming from this company. PolaSma is short for Polaroid Smartphone, and this device will be great for teens or first time smartphone owners. In terms of hardware, this device comes with 5-inch LCD display and 960×540 resolution. PolaSma is powered by 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek processor and 1GB RAM, and there’s 4GB of internal storage space, as well as 8-megapixel rear camera and 2-megapixel front camera. As for the software, this device runs on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean mobile operating system.

PolaSma comes with humble hardware specs, and it’s available in Cherry Pink, Blueberry Blue, and Lemon Yellow. Judging by its specs, we expect this device to be affordable, but we don’t have any information regarding availability or pricing.
